Default In the sweltering heat...

...these guys managed to survive and add some color to the other dying foliage.

Long after the other asiatic lilies have fallen off the stalk, this one is just starting to blossom!

Nice shots Gary. Just another example of how the strongest species can survive and thrive in adverse conditions. You should spread the seeds of those plants around.

First one is sad, while the lillies still look pretty good. Nice photo as well, very nice.

Sometime I feel as if we live in a different country here up in the top left corner. I suppose if it was Europe it would be.

This past week the weather has been wonderful. Hi 70's skys blue and clear. Got up to 80 the other day but an overnight shower sorted that out. Cools nicely after sunset as well. It's misty now but it'll warm up nicely later, hi 70's again. I'm off out now to paint my french doors before the sun comes around the front. Why did we choose 15 light french doors, that's 30 little panes of glass to cut around....two coats...???
They do look good though.

Very nice flowers Gary, seems you have nice weather up there.
Here we have a lot of rain, temperatures are around 12 to 17 degrees celcuis.
What is not good for being summer.

Yeh, but he's cool...

Set to go out fishin for crab this morning. Made a little deck to go on the inflatable dinghy that will hold four pots. Checked the outboard out, even bought a licence. Didn't need licences a couple of years back but they figured we need policing, so the money literally pays their wages. But that's another story. Growl!!!!

It was cool and cloudy this morning as Greg came over but we figured the sun would be out later. And then it hit. Flash!! and then KaBooom! WHohoo almost simultanious. And here comes the deluge.

We're thinking maybe Monday.
Nobody fishes weekends, or no sane person. Good day to sit on the porch and read...
