Default New lens: Sigma 30mm F1.4 - quick test

Hi,

I have a new toy, the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 lens.
I did give a very quick test, indoor, no flash.
Settings where maybe not a good choice : ISO400, EV +0,7 and F1,4 but wanted to see what this gives. It was already a wow for how clear the images where without flash, was also the reason that I bought this lens.
Sharpness.... at f1,4 sharp in the center but fastly going over to soft.

That lens has been attractive to 4/3 users since it's as fast as the Summilux 25mm but a lot less expensive. But it has had the reputation that its quality is uncertain so you have to try one before you buy it. Looks like you got a very good one - congratulations.

Ted

PS: Good to have you back, Lordje!

Hey Pascal nice find and it looks like you got a good sample as well.

I've been looking for the 50mm but no joy at the mo .. but think it would be perfect for portraits.

Thank you Ted, Steven and HarjTT.

For the 50mm I'm still looking for the Zuiko 2,0 instead of Sigma 1,4, Reason:tests show that the zuiko is very sharp.

Congratulations Pascal for your new lens.

I had the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 but it was very soft and very inconsistent in the focus, your pictures looks very sharp.
