I have ordered quite a few through Bay Photo on Smug Mug and they are fantastic....they are durable and light weight and no frame needed...

I have sold a number of groupings that are printed on aluminum.

Try it you will like it...

Those of you that have done this, would you recommend the white or shiny finish?... glossy or matte?

Well, I pulled the trigger on an 8x10 on shiny with matte finish. They had a 30% off special running! Here's what I'm getting printed

I prefer the matte, but it also depends on the image. I had one that had a bunch of small highlight in it and got the glossy and it was electric, it really made the photo snap! Tremendous depth!

I have also ordered quite a few metallic prints and they work really well also! I like the aluminum for it's durability and weather resistant feature, you can literally hang the thing outside....

Technology sure has improved....

Good luck, I think you made the correct choice in the matte for that image. I'll be anxious to hear your opinion when you get the print!

That is interesting Gary. Let us know when it comes in and how it looks. What is the cost of a print?

I caught a 30% off deal. For an 8x10 it's $29 shipped.
