Onto the rumour itself, So right now, its just sit and wait to see what happens but if theyre expecting me to buy an adapter to use the HG/SHGs on a OMD style body then I'm going to have to decide to move onto another system.

Oh well .. its the end of the world tomorrow.. bury bad news like the end of the E-system by rumour on the eve before it all ends.... !!

well go out and enjoy it

Olympus has never been a me-too copy cat company offering the same thing as everyone else; from the original 35mm Pen half-frames, to the OM series, to the E-1 (remember it was the first dslr that was not made using modified 35mm bodies. Olympus always does best when riding on its own creativity.

I'm excited about the possibilities of a pro-style camera that will seamlessly use all the Olympus lens from both lines. I personally could not justify the cost of buying another camera now, but that is okay, because I'm satisfied with the equipment I now have. (Besides, when the new camera comes out, maybe the price of a used E-5 will make it tempting to get an E-5 body to go with my E-3.)

A long time ago, I made a statement that for me, the perfect dslr would be to take my OM-2 and put a digital data back on it. The E-M5 came close; it is possible that the next camera may come even nearer.

more inf from DSLRmagazine

- The camera will have some very advanced new features
- The EVF will be “spectacular”
- It is NOT a modular camera
- It has a native MFT mount and uses a special adapter for the FT lenses
- It will be more expensive than the current Olympus E-M5
- The camera size will be in between the E-M5 and the E-5.

probably best followed up from 43rumors
