Hi Gary,

Good luck with your new system. I've a friend that uses a Pentax dslr. Loves it.
Hope it gives you years of pleasure.

Thanks very much, Zig. I'm sure I will. The more I read user's comments/reactions, the more confident I feel I made the right choice. Just need to get some GOOD glass for it.

Gary, the folks over in the Pentax forum will give you a warm welcome...and they are an active bunch of posters (similar to the Olympus forum).

I was a Pentaxian for over a decade and switched to Nikon when I started doing serious avaiation photography. Unfortunately, Pentax just did not have the long zoom, wide aperture lenses that Nikon (and Canon) offered.

With the purchase by Ricoh, Pentax seems like they are releasing some decent bodies now; I expect good quality leneses are in the pipeline.

I prowl around the Pentax forum (as an alumnus)...will see you over there...and hopefully at SDF soon as well!
