Default London Motor show 2013

My 2nd visit to the London Motor show at Canary Wharf .. you'd think it being summer that we in the UK would get to see the sun esp for a car show !!??

This years event was a lot smaller than last years with no Classic cars on display and the number of manufacturers reduced by a significant number.

I still haven;t got a clue on how to take pics of cars.. should leave it to Bob and co.

1. Its a BMW .. and theyre definitely not mini but here's a BMW minipaceman

2. Oo thats a porsche

3. GreatBritishsports car ..actually got to sit in the 2nd car - a bit tricky with my bad back but I couldn't resist getting in to see what it felt to be behind the wheel of this beaut.

and the team behind the cars, a really fab bunch of people having listened to me mumbling about one thing or another!

5. Lambo ..

6. The models.. I need to get back into studio and shoot.

Aby - She was on the Chrysler stand, my second shot as the first was seriously underexposed. Not sure whether the skintone is a bit too warm but let me know..

Can't remember the name of the 2nd lass .. 3 shots in total - the first being 3 stops underexposed (don't ask how i managed to do that )

Cheers

HArj

Some hot cars that you captured there, Harj. Nice shots, and I especially like the composition that you chose for the Jaguar RS photo.

I agree and that DB9 would be my choice for a weekend. These are nicely done Harj, cars and gals.

My Chrysler 300C Hemi would really look nice with Aby posing next to it.

Sharp looking car Bob. Do you go cruising around in it on the weekends, just like we use to do as teenagers?

I can imagine Bob cruising the strip on Saturday nights and stopping in at the soda fountain. Although he looks more of a MALT GUY..

They're pretty nice shots Harj, Ship that DB9 over will you.

Tend to agree the first young lady is a tad overcooked. Second looks really natural.

Guys thanks for the comments ..

Bob.. thats a fab car and the alloys look pristine !!

Ken, I'm not sure how to fix the skin tone on Aby - the WB is the same (manually set in LR) as the other pic, and they were both underexposed by at least 1 stop but for some strange reason its a lot warmer. The actual recorded WB for the shot was 4000k by the camera which is just way off and how it came up with that value I've got no idea where as the other pics it was spot on.

awwww, it was the A&W drive-in (1955) ........ get a root beer & watch the gals then 'peel out' (1950 Ford 2-door) onto the blacktop and back in an 1/2 hour to do it again after we would pick up another fellow with 50-cents to buy a couple gallon of gasoline.

Harj, I like the mini..... too, we've a lot of them around here and one fellow locally has an original that he drives around. I've seen it a couple times recently.
