Default ....something different this weekend with the e-3 & 50-200

Saturday (9/14) I was invited to do photography for the local EAA chapter for the fall Young Eagles Rally event.

It was the 2nd time I've photographed the YER for the chapter. It is always fun to see the youngsters' happy faces and the pilots' too.

I also used my E-P3 with the FT 9-18 and it as always made really good files, but these were done with the E-3 and 50-200.

Well captured, Bob. Those are excellent shots. Well composed to highlight the kids faces full of excitement and enough of the aircraft to let the viewer understand why they were excited. It made for a memorable series. You should submit to a local newspaper.

Steven & James, thank you very much.

This was a fun shoot and as usual the images are donated to the EAA 34 chapter to use in their website and chapter publications and I make them available to the participants. I do get credit mention. I like giving to our community in a way that I enjoy too; free water, lunch and smiles is reward enough for any volunteer.

We had a large turnout; another photographer was there too, between the two of us we managed 'most' of the youngsters but unfortunately we could not cover all of them.

The rest of the gallery is here ==> http://tinyurl.com/kjc66ur

Thanks again, Bob

....hi Harj, it is always a thrill to do the shoot for the EAA, much fun there to see the excitement of the kids.

Too, we always have quite a few of the experimental (home built) planes which are small, light and some of them like the blue/yellow and red/white above that are very quick.

I was set for my 'volunteer' ride in the blue/yellow when the last youngster of the day showed and he went for the ride. I was happy for him, all those who went up in the blue/yellow had great smiles when they came in. FUN! FUN! stuff.
