Default GBH shot

A Great Blue Heron that flew by me during one of my walks. Just a quick capture, but I like the way it turned out and just wanted to share it with the group.

E-3 and 50-200mm lens.

I love photographing the herons & egrets. This is a beautifully captured image, well done Steven.

Fantastic capture Steven, GBH is very sharp.

I bought a new lens for my D600 but the activity in Long island is very slow this days, I am just waiting for some ducks to arrive and I hope I can capture a snowy owl this winter.

Thank you for posting.

.....Steven did you use burst mode here (and how many files) or was it a single frame?

The reason I ask.... if you've more than this frame please show us. I would love to see one with wings up.

Yes Bob, I usually keep my camera on the 3 Shot Low mode, and I have 3 shots in this series. I only liked the first one which I posted above, as I did not think the last two were anywhere near as good as the first. But since you asked, for what it's worth, here all three shots of the series.

Steven,

The second shot is great, I think I like it better than the 1st one.
