Default The 43rd lens resale values ..

Been checking one or two of the FT focused forums "For Sale" sections and the UK price of some of the HG glass seems to have fallen right through the floor, even for lenses in VG condition. London camera exchange has a couple of mint 14-54's for sale at 250 and I've never seen it for that price until today.

Right now I've been looking to sell my 35-100F2 but am wondering if I will get anything remotely close to what it should go for - the lens is mint condition with the only defect a slight scuff mark on the outside of the lens hood. Is it any different in NA or on the mainland EU ?

But if anyone is looking for a 70-300 in good condition PM me.

Yeah, I'd say my E500 and E1 are pretty much worth nothing at this point. Not sure I can ever get what I'd want for my Sigma 135-400 either now. Should probably just by an E3 to use it one. Gotta be pretty cheap now.

As for what Harj has noticed KEH has the 14-54 for around $200. Quite a few copies as well.

So its across all 4 corners of the globe .. not good !

I was thinking of off loading my E1 but as John's mentioned, their worth next to nothing.. 150 or there abouts so is there any point of selling ? E3's are going for around 250-300, and I've seen a couple of excellent condition 12-60 and an 11-22 up for 350+. What was interesting was that LCE had no E5's up for sale or the 50-200 or any SHG glass of any type.

There must still be interest in the 50-200 because a couple of months ago KEH had over a half dozen of them and now they just have one. They still have a copy of the 300/2.8 which I wonder if they will ever sell.

I picked up my mint E-3 around a year ago for 300.00 and there was 2200 clicks on it. It's a great camera and for what I'd get for it now I'd be better off keeping it if I were to get an OM D E1. I've really never put it through a good run of shots yet other than when the tall ships came in last year.

I sold my 50-200 SWD a couple of years ago, figuring they'd never get the micro system to a point it'd operate efficiently with the four-thirds lenses. Since picking up my E-M1 I bought one of the original non SWD 50-200 f2.8-3.5's from KEH. I'd call it excellent, for $360. Didn't come with a hood or tripod collar so I bought those separately & wound up spending around $500, all in. That's a happy number to me, and I don't have to deal with that fool super-wide lens hood on the SWD model.

and then there are April's fools.....

You do know we're flirting with April 1 . I've already seen other similar "news flashes" like this today...

I would imagine they are both about as legitimate as North West.
