Fred is now an hockey "widow" ... Like my wife

Which means that the next NHL season will only start in 4 months and he will not be able to watch Hockey alll summer..

Nithing directly related to photography ...

However, Fred will have more time to take pictures in the evening now

LOL. Hey Fred, why don't you fly down to Florida and catch the Daytona Race on the July 4th weekend? 40,000 horsepower flying by you at 200 MPH will definitely catch your attention.

As for a hockey substitute, it's summertime, so you could watch grass grow. LOL

You literally CAN watch the grass grow in the DC area: If you mow part of your lawn one evening and the other part the next evening, you can see a noticeable difference in height at the border between the two.
