Default Lens for Fireworks

Not sure I'll have the pennies for your suggestions buy anyone recommend a decent lens for taking pictures of fireworks?

Hi Sam:

Depending on how close to the fireworks you will usually shoot, your current 14-42mm lens will be okay for closer distances, and your 40-150 for when you are further away. If you need to use your 70-300, you will need to shoot in manual focusing mode, as the 70-300 is slower to focus in those conditions.

I shoot a lot of fireworks, and my two main lens are my 12-60 for closer distances, and the 50-200 for further away. I have been tempted to add a used Oly 18-180 lens as an all around compromise for fireworks from any distance without needing to change lens. It can usually be found relatively cheaply from ebay, KEH, or B & H, etc.
