I was just gifted the E500,mostly we take pictures of my son racing motocross which is very fast paced.

A lot of the time you have to be acouple hundred feet from the track and 75% of the time it's in bright sun light.

Unfortunately the only lens that came with the camera is the 14-45. What lens would you recommend for this type of shooting?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you have the bucks for it, the 50-200mm f2.8~3.5 Digital Zuiko would be the best choice, but it will cost you $800-900.

Assuming that's outside of your budget, the 40-150mm f3.5~4.5 Digital Zuiko , which can be gotten for under $200 on the web (look at the Cameta auctions) will be a reasonable compromise, although you lose one f-stop and some reach.
