Downloading pics directly from my E-500 goes well but it is rather slow. Will it make a difference if I use a CF card reader.

If so any suggestions on which ones to use?

Thanks,

Jim

Yes, it will. The E-500 is USB 1.1- about as slow as it gets. CF card readers are 2.0, will download much faster and don't use up camera battery power. Just about any 2.0 reader will do. I have a Sandisk. My girlfriend's computer (1 1/2 years old) has 2.0readers built-in

LOL Schu,

Ifyou mean buying one online you must know I am one of those "I want it now" guys. C/C has a Sandisk for $16 I am going to pick up tomorrow. Wouldn't $5 + shipping push me over thatfigure?

Not quite sure where Schu pulled $5 from. Maybe he/she could provide you with a link to that magic reader?

Online sources such as B&H are as competitive as anyone when it comes to most anything digital, and looking at this list I see no USB2.0 readers for $5:

Sounds like the one you are going to buy is exactly what I've got, and it's great.

You were right Greg,

The Sandisk card reader is so much easier and quicker.

Thanks!
