What is the price going to be?

I am hopping to replace my 40-150 with a nicer lens I'm thinking either the 50-200 zuiko or this Sigma. What do you guys think. I like quality and its not worth sacrificing over big numbers 50-500.... ?

Someone else mentioned the initial Japanese price is going to be 173,250Yen or $1500USD.

No one can say what the quality will be of the "Bigma" until someone tries it.

the actual street price here in Japan is set (at Yodobashi) at Y138,600, plus 10% points-back discount, so figure $1084 (US). It's priced here the same as the Canon/Nikon models of the 50-500, so I would assume US street prices to be in the ballpark for those models.
