I don't like to spread rumours but Sept 14th is supposed to be the date when Oly makes an announcement on some new E series cameras - possibly E1 and E500 replacements and some new lenses but nothing for sure.

Cheers

They've already announced that they'll be unveiling a "mockup" of the "E-3" (E-1's successor), but it is not supposed to come to market until next year. The best money (?) has it that it will come equipped with the promised-but-yet-unseen 14-35mm f2.0 lens.

There have been rumorsof more consumer level dSLRs to appear at Photokina, but I don't believe Oly has announced anything about them.

I think the history on this sees anouncements precede release by 6 months
