Default After the storm - some shots from today

took the dog for a walk, here she is looking into the woods from the edge of the street, the snow is too high for her to venture in as you can hopefully see

and here is an artistic shot of a snow drift formation I found to be cool looking I shot this (and all these) with the 70-300mm so it gives it a feel of being much bigger than it is due to telephoto compression.

Great shots. I really like the bluebirds and the nuthatch as well as the snow drifts (and the dog, of course).

When I moved from New England almost 30 years ago, I left behind two of my favorite birds -- the black-capped chickadees and the white-breasted nuthatches. The Carolina chickadee doesn't make it this far south and neither do the white-breasted nuthatches. Fortunately, the tufted titmice visit.

Beautiful shots of the Bluebirds. They are pretty cute birds and would be my faves as well.
