Oh, trotters! Fun stuff.

Glad to see someone still lets people in to watch horse races,....

Those are really nice photos. And I really like the way that you captured the horse in shot #2 with all four of his feet in the air. Well Done.

The thoroughbred track here in the Dallas-Fort Worth area stopped letting anyone with interchangeable lens cameras in 4 years ago. I used to love shooting there. Haven't been to the races since the last time I was able to shoot there.

I've missed seeing these......... I've been there just one-time since that day we shot together.

I REALLY would like to have seen what the E-M1 and 40-150/2.8 was capable of at the track. Those 4 months of live racing was something I looked forward to doing for a good three years, some weekends on both Saturday and Sunday. You couldn't beat it. $5 to get in with free parking, eight or nine $2 bets and a trip or two to the concession stand between races. Admission and the bets, total, was not much more than it costs to park at the major league baseball stadium, LOL, plus a fun day or shooting.

Nice shots Fred, 1st and last are my favorites but third is good too, just a shame the rider's not visible.

I used to go up to Saratoga when I live in Albany and you could bring coolers into the picnic tables outside and also bring them into the standing room area below the grandstands. Parking was a bit more than $5 but considering you could bring your own food and beverages (beer) it made for a cheap day. Never brought an ILC with me as the only one I owned at the time was an old Canon T-50 and film was beginning to be out of fashion at that point.
