Default Australian International Airshow

Photos from last weeks Australian International Airshow, taken with the E-M1 & Panasonic 100-400mm.
The airshow is the only event that I find that the E-M1's C-AF struggles. Must be them dull grey jets.

Maybe its time for the E-M1 Mark II

Still happy with my photos probably one of most difficult things for me to photograph fast flying jets, especially when using a 400mm lens.

All of those shots are great!

However, #3 is fantastic!

G'day TG

Agree with ^^ - an excellent collection of keepers - maybe #3 or #4 for a 20 x 30" on your lounge room wall

Has Lumix mirrorless & superzoom cameras and loves their amazing capabilities

Those are all excellent captures. Photographing an air show is more difficult that many folks realize. You did a great job!

He did an excellent job with the props on the piston-driven planes. The one time I tried doing an air show I was shooting at too high a shutter speed and the props were all frozen, making the planes look like they could be falling from the sky, LOL...

Impressive series of images.
I happened to be visiting friends in New Jersey at the same time the Blue Angels were in an air show. The speed at which those jets pass overhead are amazing and very humbling if you try to photograph them.
Well done.

So you want to be a better photographer? Open your eyes and take a look at what is all around you.
