Central Park Night Walk

The last snow storm we had last week painted white the park and I thoght it will look beautiful during the night.

My OMD-E5 and the 9-18mm did all the work with exception of the buildings close up that I used the 40-150mm, this set up is so light and versatile.

It was a beautiful but cold/windy night but those conditions help me to have no people in my pictures.

Absolutely beautiful set. Can't name a favorite because they are indeed all outstanding. I like the juxtaposition of old stone bridges with modern skyscrapers or the contrast of out-in-the-country cattails against the big city. Sharp, colorful and my favorite time of day to shoot. These images would be hard to improve on but now I know why you're looking for a fast prime.

Beautiful shots Marcello and not a soul around. Looks like a good place to get mugged at night. :-) Is it safe there??

Thank you so much for the feedback ChiPersei, the park is beautiful and the fusion of the elements you cited make it very interesting.

I would like to have a prime to use it in low light situations where I can't use a tripod like this picture I shoot last Saturday in a nice coffee place in Brooklyn.

Thank you James, It was a very cold night so hard to find people walking there at that time of the night.

I am living in NYC for 14 years and I never had any problem, in my photographic walks I stay in the city from 8:00PM to 2:00 or 3:00 AM.

Central Park goes from 59th St to 110th St , I always stay in lower part of it (59th and 76th) I know sometimes is a little dangerous in the upper part (90th and 110th).
