E-M1 & Tyabb Air Show

Here are some shots taken from the Tyabb Air Show. Nice day compared to the gloomy cloudy day the week before at the Point Cook Air Show (will post some pics later from this event).

Those are excellent shots! I'm a big fan of air shows and really enjoyed your shot selections. Well done.

Great shots. These are some vintage craft. I'm a little rusty, but I think I got three of them. The SNJ (T-6), the P40, and the F86 saberjet. neat pictures. Glad the weather cooperated this time.

I'm with Hawgwild, I love air shows and aircraft pics. Very nice shots and what lens did you use to capture these?

Lens used OLYMPUS M.75-300mm F4.8-6.7 II, very happy with the sharpness of this lens, did have some sharpness issues with this lens at the long end. The problem ended up being the UV filter, always used filters on my lenses for protection. The filter was a Hoya Pro 1D and never had any issues with all my previous lenses using Hoya SHMC & HMC filters. Removed filter and problem was gone, tried a Hoya HMC filter and have no issues.

G'day TG

I'll join the others ^ and say that I love 'em - great to bring back the olde days of flight - we all seem to love both steam locos & propeller planes

Love the sharpness + exposures ... well done mate
Phil

Those are very sharp images for an inexpensive lens. What ISO were these shot at?

All of the prop planes were ISO 100-200, With the jets I used Auto ISO with a shutter speed of 1/3200 (the ISO in the last two are 500 & 800)
