Default ......finally replaced the FT 70-300

My old FT 70-300 just wore out so I replaced it at AC with a mZUIKO 75-300 II which takes to the extension tubes the same as the 70-300 did (@ 26mm tube it does 10-inches focus length to lens front) so I am excited for spring wildflowers and summer insects.

My waffling-to-carry now is between the E-M1 & Pen 'F'. I love using the 'F' and it also does flash with the silent shutter, love that. I use silent (electronic) shutter on both cameras now 100% time and have also turned off the 'F' focus-beep .... the 'F' is 100% silent except for aperture blades (some lenses) love it.

A couple photos here from the 75-300, still fun times at our nature preserve.

Pen "F" + 75-300......

E-M1 + 75-300............

That lens does work extremely well with the Kenko extension tube set. I used it a lot before getting the 40-150mm f2.8.

A much easier carry than the 40-150, too.

I'm pleasantly surprised by the sharpness of the photos posted, Bob.
Have you tried shooting at 300mm? And if so, are you satisfied with the clarity at that focal length?

....hey Zig, Yes! & Yes! I really like the 75-300, it too fits to the Pen 'F' very comfortably, it is easier handled than was the FT 70-300 on either the 'F' or EM-1.

...here are some 300mm samples + some of them @ digi-X2 which I use very often with either camera and any of my lenses at any time ... love it.

The mallards during a very overcast with light rain.............

[email protected] 300mm + digi-X2 = 35mm equiv 1200mm (pretty cheap long-reach)

I bought the lens at Arlington camera during Olympus' $100 discount + I had $150 gift cards from Christmas including a $50 Arlington Camera gift card from my grandson.... the lens cost me $300.

Love those gift cards, my birthday in 2-weeks so got my fingers X-ed again.

I use my FL-36 on the Pen 'F', great combination and thinking to buy a GODOX TT350O $84; the same GN as the FL36 but can be used wireless.....slave to the Pen 'F' LM-3 flash

The next, Mexican Plumb, is @ 252mm + digi-x2 for equiv 1008mm

Hi, Bob,

Your photos are definitely sharp enough for my needs.

Thanks for the quick response.

Congratulations on your purchase Bob, great shots from this lens very sharp. This was my long zoom before I got the Panasonic 100-400. still use it with the E-M10 for my kids when there out with me.
