Default Floral Colour -- Amaryllis

Another snowfall is forecast -- oh boy! So to brighten things up, here are some shots of the two amaryllis we grew this year, "Evergreen" and "Elvas" The Evergreen gave us two stalks with 6 to eight blossoms on each, whereas the Elvas has so far managed only one blossom so far.

Evergreen shot with the M.Zuiko 40-150mm and the Elvas was shot with a Micro Nikkor 55mm. All exposures manual with the histogram pushed to within a "nudge" of the right side, reading from a gray card. Then like a fool I didn't pay attention to the angle I was holding the black card so it actually threw back some light. Using the layers in ASP was able to tone the background back down. And then my studio light kept ducking behind a cloud during the exposures so ASP helped get things back in line.

Soon it will be time to hit the greenhouses for the early spring blossoms

Well this has certainly brightened my morning, thanks and ASP has worked very, very well for these, I love the program regardless my bantering about it not yet supporting the E-M1 ORF data.

All three of these are great but the 2nd just makes me smile.

Super nice images from both lenses, be sure to shows us the greenhouses photos too.

Super shots! Excellent detail, and that can be very difficult when photographing white flower petals. Well done.
