At the game

I went to the CFL football game last Friday (the Edmonton Eskimos against the Montreal Alouettes) with the Rokinon 7.5mm Fisheye, the 40-150mm and I used the OM-D with them.

Since we were a tidy bit far from the action (lower balcony, in the middle of it and at about the 10 yards line), it wasn't eazy to get some good shots ... but it was a good time to crank up the ISO on the OM-D :)

Anyway, there they are :

The flightby just after the national anthem:

Some confusing action:

and a "bird view", the way the Rokinon can do it, of the stadium at
half-time:

Not the best images so far ... but still fun to do :)

BTW, for my American friends, did you know that the football fields is bigger in the CFL than the NFL? Also, they have only 3 downs to do 10 yards instead of 4?

Enjoy!

The CFL is one fun game to watch. Back when ESPN carried it, Warren Moon was the QB with the Eskimos and Edmonton was winning the Grey Cup almost every year I was an avid watcher/Winnepeg fan. Today I can catch a game on the NFL Network on the weekends and online via ESPN 3. Well worth learning all the (many) rules differences.

My all time favorite CFL team, the Hamilton Tigercats then the Winnepeg Blue Bombers.

I like the first shot the best. That Rokinon is looking better all the time.

I like the 'birds eye' shot - really cool and you had a good sky for it so the exposure worked!

... and most important, we got the best weather ever for a football game! I remember that a couple of years ago we got, in the same game:

- Sun
- Clouds
- Rain ...
- and Snow !

not fun ! Well, kind of fun ...
