Default Greg C .... a model railroad system going away (last call)

............... Jim C, if this is not an appropriate thread please remove. Thanks Bob Brennan

This may be a fun morning unless there will be so many visitors that it won't be.

Have you seen or heard the plight of the Lockheed Rec HO railroad in Ft Worth?

I would like to go but I will be at the Grand Prairie airport 8am-2pm (same hours).

In the 'Startlegram' this (09/08 morning):

'Lockheed Martin Model Railroad Club open house is 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 14 in the club house at Lockheed Martin Recreation Area, 3400 Bryant Irvin Road in Fort Worth.'

Drive past the guard shack (no guard there anymore) and look for a brick building on the left, next to a soccer field and a radio tower.'

I was into that about 30 years ago so I can appreciate the attention to detail. Indeed this would be a good photoshoot, at least for me anyway. This hobby is actually much more expensive than photography. Some of those highly detailed locomotives can easily exceed 500 bucks.
Olympus OMD-M5, HLG6 grip, Olympus 4/3rd 35mm macro lens, Panny/Leica 25mm, f1.4, Olympus 17mm, Canon Pro 9000 Mk II Printer, Canon MP990 Printer, Slik U212 Tripod, Manfrotto monopod, MMF3 converter.
