Shot RAW this evening after work and processed in ACR/CS5.

One last shot, but with the 14-42 kit lens instead..

Hi Greg,

Congrats on getting the E-PL1. Doesn't look like the image quality your getting from this little performer takes a back seat to any other camera currently available.

I'm continuing to save my pennies to get one of these. But I'm holding off ''til I can get it complete with the VF-2 viewfinder.

In the meantime, I can enjoy looking at your photos.

Zig

great shots Greg, I like the warm/cool color contrasts you have in the architecture pictures. Did you try the smaller autofocus points?

...hi Greg,

I've been keeping track of your new experiences with the E-PL1 and these are, as Zig says, right up in the front seat.

I've wanted one of the PEN cams from the beginning, the PL1 and VF-2 look to be what I've been waiting for but no time soon so I will enjoy seeing yours and the others posts and comments.

The viewfinder is worth the expense. Quite impressive, both in size and resolution. Ergonomically, the camera is a pleasure to use and too easy to carry around with the combination of the 14-42 kit lens and 70-300 Zuiko. Tossing in the 9-18 doesn't cost anymore in weight, but can make juggling one MMF-2 between two 4/3rd's Zuiko a little more of a pain than I like.

What I want to wind up with is the little 9-18 and 14-150 micro lenses, and I will at some point not too far down the road, but I do like the reach of the 70-300.

This is just the ticket to get into events/venues where I have been turned away with even just the E620. An E-PL1 with a tiny micro lens mounted and another in either a pocket or Katherine's purse!
