Default Poor man's $1 "EVF"

Works very well for me when I do MF. +3.50 is the highest I can find in Dollartree. I put it on my nose as low as possible to not block my normal view.

[update]See the $5 version, much much better than this one, a really real EVF. http://forums.steves-digicams.com/ol...very-well.html

Now that's a good one! Maybe Oly should include one of these pairs with the EPL1 kit!

that would not make sense, you would give up the chance to use the best evf on the market removable or not.

Ah, but it would not add $250 to the kit price!

I wouldn't spend $250 on that either.

To some it may be worth it, like a good pair of polarized sunglasses is really worth it for me when outdoors, but mine are prescription, so they are closer to 400. But everyone has their preferences.

Have you ever used the VF2 on the ep2, it is just one heck of a good evf. It makes the gh1 evf looking dated like a 2 inch lcd. It is really that good.

I never had the EP2. I had the EP1 but it was not compatible with the VF2. The EP1 only takes the tunnel. I have no doubt the VF2 is good. It's just too much money. The EPL1 is priced right for what it has to offer. Adding the cost of the VF2 to me is unjustifiable...the EPL1 is not worth $700+.

It is to some, only the gf1 comes close to the epl-1's abilities with a evf and compact size with big camera photo quality. As The gf1 is 900 for the same setup. But at the end of the day, everyone has different needs. For some the 700 dollars of the epl1 and vf2 is worth it, and others 900 for the gf1 and evf is worth it. To other, they can live without it, and is not worth the extra money.

But if you are ever in a camera shop that carries the ep2, see if they will let you play around with it with the vf2. It is quite a surprise how much difference it is from what the GH1 offers in terms of evf.

I'd never pay $900 for the GF1. Between that and the EPL1 + FV2, I'd go with the EPL1 combo. I think it's a better camera.
