yea. that is my decision, whether to go for the 45-200 or the 100-300. the 45-200 is just such a great lens for the price, hard to pass up. but having 600mm equiv FL is nice.

It would be nice if Pana came up with a 14-100mm lens but that would pretty much kill the 14-42 and 45-200, so they'll never do that!

That's why 14-140 is so expensive, buying a GH1 is the way to get it for free.

I'm not sure about the "free" part. The combo goes for about $1000. The GH1 body sells on eBay for $650-$700. So, in the end, the lens will cost about $350-$400 (depending on how much you have to pay in eBay/Paypal fees).
