Default What's [...] set home?

In custom menu options, AF/MF, [...] set home, there are two choices: [:::] and [.].

"Choose the AF target position that will be saved as the home position. [HP] appears in the AF target selection display while you choose a home position."

What's this about? I never see [HP].

If you have the camera set so that you can choose the AF point, you can set the [...] button to a specific focus point (center makes sense to me) so when you press this button, the AF focus point gets reset to it. Since I always have the camera focus set to center spot, this button is wasted.

I thought like that too but it does not work that way. This menu option is redundant, because whenever I press the [...] button, it always goes to the current spot and if I move to a new spot, the menu changes to it too.

[update]For this feature, [...]HOME must be assigned to Fn or movie button. P.45.
