Default E-PL1 how to save as dng instead of orf?

How do I save my RAW pics as a DNG extension instead of as an ORF extension?

I want to be able to open them in Elements 5.0, without having to convert them to DNG using dng4ps2 program after having imported them as ORF. So the easiest thing do is save them as dng in camera.

Only Pentax, and certain Ricoh and Leica cameras offer DNG saving in the camera.

with every other brand, including Olympus, you will need to shoot in the native RAW format (ORF in this case) and use conversion software to convert to DNG

So what program is recommended for converting to DNG for use with Elements 5.0?

Is there an add-on or update to Elements 5.0 which would work?

Haven't tried it but I'm pretty sure dng4ps2 will work, it's just not a something I like having to do.

Adobe has a free converter on their site anyone can download and use to convert RAW files to the DNG format..

Adobe has updated Elements three or four times since the version you own. Elements 9 has just been introduced. You cannot update Elements. You have to buy new versions.
