Default E-PL1 with 12-60mm SWD

We went to a fundraiser at the Heritage Museum in our town last night. One of the features of the Museum is their antique automobile collection. I decided to bring along the E-PL1 + 12-60mm SWD lens and take a few photos of the beautiful automobiles.

The following are all taken pretty much in auto mode, available light, ISO1600. I keep marveling as to how well the images come out at ISO 1600

When I got home, I realized I'd made a mistake and should have shot in Aperture mode and stop down the lens to attain greater depth of field.

Anyways, all in all- not bad.

Zig, nice nostalgia shots. I really like the stretched perspective on the first shot.

Some beautiful old cars. The E-PL1 and 12-60 work very well together.

Hi Greg,

Yes, the E-PL1 and 12-60mm SWD are a good combination. From a balanced system perspective, the E-5 would really be the ideal body to use the lens with. But, the E-PL1 gives me a glimpse of what the E-5 can do as far as jpeg output.

I find myself staying away from the 14-42mm lens that comes with the body. The combination of sharper images and better focusing speed delivered by the 12-60mm SWD has spoiled me.

I've stayed away from buying another M43 lens for the E-PL1 -probably a 40-150mm or a Panny 45-200mm until after the holidays. I need to give my wallet AND credit cards a break.

But, with the 12-60 on the E-PL1, I'm really not in that big a hurry.
