First image is a show stopper! And the fact that I have to wait about two more months before local roses get going makes me love these images even more

Hi Greg,

All really very impressive. But I hafta tell you that, I'm most impressed by the first 2. The are really very lovely with the color and detail quite impressive.
Especially when compared to the 50mm macro. They certainly stand up against the 50mm macro quite well.

Yep, the two little kit lenses are excellent. You can get a lot closer with the 50mm macro, but unless you stop the thing down to f11 the depth of field is virtually non-existent.

Great roses, you actually inspired me to see if I could get any of mine last night. Unfortunately, they're all ever so slightly out of focus. I've never had good luck with getting red roses in focus. Thanks for posting!
