Default factory reset

Hi,

We have an E-PL1 and all the pictures began coming out whitewashed, image is there but all washed out. This is happening indoors as well as outdoors.

I have tried to get to figure out how to either adjust or reset the the camera but I have been unsuccessful.

Any advice on how to fix the camera / settings?

Thanks - Kelly

ps reposted as I put it in the wrong forum earlier.

That's really a sick looking exposure, seems there are two areas of sensitivity the exposure is uneven. There should be a Default setting in the menu, look in your manual. That returns everything to factory settings.

But I am afraid that you may have a sensor problem, one which will have to be repaired by Oly.

Well just a thought, but your flash is not firing is it?, I just noticed you are setting the camera to auto.

both pictures were taken without the flash. I keep searching the manual and camera menus for a factory/default reset but cannot seem to find it.

I just looked to try and help and I dont see it. I just see how to reset the M P S and other manual settings. Nothing how to reset the whole camera to factory defaults. The manual sucks for this camera btw.

Ok, so take the battery and memory card out, and leave it out 24 hours. Most cameras, will default to factory reset in this length of time. Hopefully the Oly will?.

One exception is Panasonic of which I have one, it will hold settings 3 months after removing the battery (stupid) but it does have a default setting, and so does my Canon.

you can try what steve said and if that dont work you might be able to just walk into a service center and have them do it. I dont think they will even charge you.

good luck.
