Well a true macro lens will give better results. But currently there is only on m4/3 macro lens at is is 800 for the panasonic leica 45 2.8. The other option for macro with AF is the olympus 4/3 35mm 3.5 with an adapter, the setup is about 300 dollars if you get the panasonic one over the olympus one. They both work just the same, with excellent build quality.

thanks so much for that info. I have so much to learn. I found a few 500D's on Ebay made in Japan but shipped from China for 90$ or so.

make sure of the seller's rating, also they have them in 4 sizes. You will need to 52mm for the 45-200
