Default For all Oly fans...

FYI...

Olympus 40-150mm Micro 4/3 lens for $149 at QVC. Not sure how long the deal will last!

Looked this up last night -- seemed too good to be true. But yes, there it was. And they do sell/ship into CDN market.

So now left with a quandary -- get this lens at this "fire sale" price, or pay double to support local camera store (or should I say a camera store chain). Oly warrantees their product North America wide -- unlike Nikon -- so no worries there. I prefer to shop locally, but at half the cost...

Will probably miss this deal as I waffle

Man, if I hadn't just got the Panasonic 45-200, this would be really tempting.

Nutz...

Decided to go for this lens deal, hit the quick buy button and the following response came up:
"The item you are ordering is available on waitlist only. If the item comes back in stock within the next 45 days, would you like it automatically shipped?"

I guess this could be referred to as a phantom sale. Nutz.

If there was another option, "Bait and Switch" might be a good term, but I'm not sure what they'd be trying to switch you too, so it's probably just a matter of, they might not have had enough product for the demand the sale created.
