Default Evil

I see that sometimes the micro 4/3rds cameras are designated with the acronym EVIL. What does EVIL mean? Thanks.

G'day James

zig ^ has given you the 'official' answer ...

actually they're called 'evil' as their design is so good they're gunna take over the world ...
more seriously tho - it is my belief that the electronic viewfinder will replace the SLR camera's mirror and viewfinder mechanism over the next decade, just like digital has replaced film over the past decade

Regards, Phil

I'll say one thing Phil, I sold my Canon 40D and three lenses (no L lenses) and bought the E-PL2 with two lenses and I haven't looked back yet. A great camera with actually more features than my 40D had.

G'day James

Yeah mate ~ just about every digi camera has more features than an olde-world-film camera ... - and then along comes the 'new batch' of digi cameras and it all starts again

As others ask [in a slightly different context] "wonder what Ansel would have made of it"?

Regards, Phil
