Just blew about half the funds I had, sort-of, set aside for the E-M5 on the 25/1.4. Still getting one, but now it's going to be some point after June, instead of before my trip in late May.

Part of my reluctance to try and nab one and go with the 25 instead was two-fold.... the uncertainty of being able to get additional batteries....big issue with the upcoming trip and needing multiple cells over a day of heavy shooting, and how long it'll take until raw files are supported by Adobe. This is a new battery for the E-M5, so it's not like there are 10 different generic versions out there already being made and sold. When the E5 DSLR started hitting the store shelves Olympus introduced a new battery with it, and for for a long time no one had extra batteries to buy. No way I'm headed on the road with a digital camera that uses an electronic finder and only one battery.

Even if the battery is available, they're likely to run $50 apiece, so that's an additional $100 if I wanted to buy two extra. I already have 4 batteries for the E-P3, so it just makes sense to wait a little while, let all the first buyers find the quirks that'll probably require one or two firmware fixes and wait for Adobe to get around to adding raw support. It could well be July-August before most third-party programs start supporting raw file processing with the E-M5, and the last program I want to use in the mean-time, is Olympus' own Viewer program.

I am "kind" of ready to jump on it. However, I don't want to have two M4/3 bodies with the E-30... So, I'd like to sell my E-PL2 before buying the OM-D.

Also, there is the new offer of a free accessory from Olympus ... See www.43rumors.com ....

Free accessory appears to be the FL-300R Flash, which is listed as not available on the CDN Olympus store.

Oops, sorry, the full details are listed at:
https://us.buyolympus.com/digital-ca...-d-system.html

"Get an Accessory of Your Choice Free with E-M5 Purchase. Choose from the MMF-3 Four Thirds Lens Adapter, MF-2 OM Lens Adapter or FL-300R Wireless Flash."

If anyone is interested, $350 for the E-PL2 (Firm) and add $125 for the VF-3 (Firm). Just add the shipping to it ...

Bought in October 2011 ...
