Default ....walk in the park with a friend

Yesterday I had fun sharing one of our really great Arlington, TX USA parks with my friend Greg.

We had a good time and found some blooms and critters to photograph, he with the new Kenkos extenders with the m43 75-300 and me using an EX-25 on the FT 70-300 which with the FT 35mm is now making my adventures a lot of fun.

Here are a couple of my finds yesterday at Veterans Park

....35mm on the E-P3

...this crusty old worker bee again brings to mind 'bees should not be able to fly due to their physical makeup.

See this ones wings which appear to be worn out, yet it is loading up with more pollen while the 'worm' is wondering, "bee, you gotta be kidding..you can still fly!"

I like finding these fun images when I get home, never noticed the wings nor the worm at make-it time.

.....and these from the EX-25 & FT 70-300

Nice bug, Bob in #3! Your back-lit sun flower did very well too. Very nice collection. The 35 macro did an excellent job in that first shot.

Boy, even using just the 10mm extension tube, depth of field using it with the 75-300 M. Zuiko is really thin. I might just start also carrying the 50mm f2 when I'm doing closeups and use it when it makes more sense.

I started posting this and realized I was in Google Chrome and hasd to switch to IE to insert the hyperlinks. Man I wish Chrome worked better with this site. IE is a royal pain everytime I have to use it.

The 75-300 without any tube..

And with the tube. This was the little bloom that was not more than an inch or so off the ground.

This was that last image I captured of the tree I mentioned, with the 25mm f1.4 Leica. I took the liberty of removing the one annoying light pole in the scene.

Off to Katherine's now....the A/C still is not working. Bad weekend for sleep.

Were you the guy in the blue spandex "Captain Ranger" outfit?

You saw a good one. I don't think the home run Cruz hit has landed yet.

It was a really good baseball game, Mike & I had a good time, the place was loud (48,288).

Captain Ranger is quite a mess isn't he..... Jim Knox has a lot of fun with him.

....thank you James, I don't have a clue what the 'bugs' are except that to me they are so interesting to look at; I photograph them whenever the chance happens.
