Default 35mm macro at $159US

Just wanted to let those of you interested in getting a good deal on a four thirds 35mm macro lens that B&H Photo has one available for $159.

a ZD43 to m43 adapter would be required, but then you probably already know that.

I'm happy with mine and I see that is already gone. Good buy.

Hi James,

At that price, I really didn't think it would last more than a day.

Also glad to hear you like your copy.

I've been busy doing other things in recent days, but, need to pull out the E-P2 +35mm macro as there are lots more flowers to shoot.

Mine was an Oly refurb with one year warranty. I believe I paid 180.00 from Cameta Camera. Looks like a brand new lens.

I had never held a 35mm Zuiko macro until I met Bob weekend before last. It's a really light-weight thing. Definitely easy to use on the Pen. The added high ISO ability makes the lack of more speed than f3.5 pretty much a non-issue with the E-M5. There definitely is not a more affordable macro with AF that'll get you to 1:1 for this system. Whether $180 or $159, that's a great deal.

This lens will work with the MMF-3 on an Epl-1 correct? I am thinking of giving my Epl-1 to my mom, who wants to do macro photography on her art. She paints abstract works with oils and then uses a camera to shoot closeups about the size of a credit card.

Since I don't currently use the MMF-3 that I got with the Em-5 rebate, I was thinking I could give her the adapter and the Epl-1, and this lens would be a good, cheaper option to pursue what she wants?

Any other ideas of a M43 lens that would be comparable? Then I could just sell the mmf-3 and put the money toward other m43 lenses I currently covet.
