Thumbs up Friday night fever at

.......the local Park'n Talk gathering (it happens every Fri evening) was huge but didn't get there until late, around sundown.

Just too hot to be on the asphalt parking lot early so by the time the cars were bidding for parking space it was time for me to git!

There are a lot of cars usually, most are just regular folks who come every Friday driving whatever will run, not a lot of spit & polish but always a few 'show pieces' too. This past night it was a Corvette, a late '60s Cadillac convertible and as I was leaving a bright orange new 'dealer plated' Lamborghini.

Just the sound of that car driving through at an impossible 5-10 MPH was bone chilling to hear..... nothing else sounds like that but for an F1 engine. Anyway, I only saw a crowd.... no images of the beast.

....a couple photos I did make & some more here => http://tinyurl.com/6rx6e57

Hi Bob,

Luv to see those old classics. My favorite has always been a '59 vette convertible in candy apple red. Which, I do believe, is the one pictured in the 2nd image. So many toys on my list, so little money- but maybe one day I'll get me one.

great images.

.......thanks James & Zig

The corvette is a nice example, the interior is immaculate. I don't know about under the hood because I've never seen this car with the hood open but I suspect it is as good as the rest of the car.

I need to swap date night with Katherine one week and drive over there after work. A fun way to start any weekend.

Really good shots, Bob. As a car nut, I always enjoy looking at car shots!

I hear you James.

Right now, I'm driving a 2003 Ford Explorer with 115,000 miles. I'm just breaking it in. Hope to make it last to see the odometer turn to 200k.
Then I'll think about replacing it with a used pick up.

The vette is a pipe dream....

The OM-D M5 is a pipe dream for me. Again, I'm lucky I got the PL2 and three lenses. I got a 2011 Impala that I'll probably still be driving when others will be driving solar powered cars. Unless you're loaded to the teeth, a new car is a pretty poor investment. After the first year, the loan balance is significantly higher than the value of the car.
