Yeah, I did. It wasn't quite as nice then (the "sunset" part of the sunset cruise was taken over by clouds), but I took lots of shots. Free advice: having a monopod doesn't steady a thing when you're on a rocking boat taking shots of things on the shore. Haha, I felt pretty dumb. Some of them are pretty nice, but I'm just a bit burned out at the moment to go through them and decide which ones I like--I took ~1200 shots over the course of the week (many throwaways of course but a few happy accidents).

Thanks Greg. I'm really happy with it. I might have to actually make some prints from this trip.

This and a few other sites really gave me a newfound understanding of people that want wider and wider lenses. I would have loved to get something just a little wider, but I was already on the back of the platform and it might have been bad for my health.

hey glad you had a good time and enjoyed shooting.

The shot you posted is very nice, as Greg said the composition is perfect. a little distortion on the horizon, I am guessing this was with the 14mm?

Yeah, it was the 14. I'm liking that lens more the more I use it. Good point about the hoizon . . . maybe I'll try fixing that in Lightroom. I've been meaning to learn more aspects of that program anyhow.
