Default Water Reflections

Was down by the harbour early morning and the water had just the right amount of clay in it to present a good mirror surface, and with the tiniest amount of wind ripples. Would have explored more but had the dog (my gray card) on the wrong lead and so she was interrupting the shooting. Shot with the M.Zuiko 40-150.

Reflections are always a lot of fun to shoot. Very nice, abstract stuff there in that second shot.

And one cannot tell if the camera was steady or not. If I can't hold this lens steady at 40mm...

I'm often down by the harbour but it is rare to catch the light and wind at this gentle moment, and the suspended clay silt really picks up the reflections.

I was tipped off on the clay and reflections by a friend who spent a year in Japan studying garden techniques -- they will often add clay to the pond water to increase the reflective surface
