Default Rainbow Sliver

Shortly after my wife left for work this morning she called and told me to walk outside and look to the west. It was a bright clear morning with no rain, yet in the bright white fluffy clouds was a sliver of rainbow. I thought it was neat.

I think it is pretty neat too! Nice job - what is the water body?

That is Biloxi Bay. I was standing at the foot of my pier when I took this and the pier you see to the right (as well as mine and every other one) will probably be under about 5 feet of water with the storm surge expected with the incoming hurricane. We've been prepping for Isaac's arrival for the last couple days.

I know I looked at this post a couple of times the past day or so and there was no image there. Today, now, I see it.

Very nice. Kinda looks like a sort-of sun dog.

Good luck with the storm prep.

Here's what it looked like this morning from the same vantage point. You can tell from the pier the water has already come up about 3-4 feet compared to the original photo. We're predicted to get a surge of 8-12 feet. Finishing up prep this morning and then getting to higher ground.
