Default Honey Bees

The flower is sedum and the honey bees love it especially this time of year with less wild flowers about the bush was literally buzzing with activity.

with the 70-300mm using a monopod for stability

...........great set RA, the Zuiko is really fun to use isn't it? I really like the cat image, is it a Seal Point, beautiful and looks to have some age.

I've only shot a couple dragonflies this year, I've never seen a red dragonfly.

Thanks, Bob

Bob, thanks for checking it out.
The cat is a female 9 years old father seal point mother blue point. You have a good eye for it, do you have or have you had Siamese ?

We have another, he is 12 years now, we adopted him at five. He has anxiety issues and was peeing in the corners but then we put him on prozac and her has been good since then. I am seriously not making this up, it was in the former owners records that he had been on Prozac before and we were at our wits end... So now he gets half a pill in his food at night and he's a good boy

Taken with the 14mm f2.5pana I cropped but did not correct for lens distortion as in felt it added to the photo.

P.s. yeah I love the 70-300mm for the way I can get black background shooting in afternoon sunlight or smooth green backgrounds as seen in these shots.

I have three distinct kinds of dragonflies in my yard, this red kind, the blue dashers which I have shared a few pics of before and a bigger kind that I have yet to take a shot of as it never seems to land.

..............do you have or have you had Siamese
We had two pedigreed Seal Points many years ago when we lived in California.

One a male named 'Sim' that absolutely hated me (MEAN) disappeared one evening. He would go out into the backyard for a short time most every evening, then one night he just vanished!

Then, about a year later Bonnie wanted another so we bought a 'weened' kitten, registered it as 'Sim-Too'. We let her have a litter, sold the kittens and had her spayed. S-T stayed in the house for a couple years then one day ran out the kitchen-garage door and never came back. Sim-Too only loved Bonnie, we never had another of the .......mese cats.

But we now have Autumn, 4-yrs today she came out from under the bushes across the street and came running to us in our yard. Feral (maine coon ), we took here to the local vet/hospital and she passed all the health tests so we adopted here on the first day of autumn 2008, thus her name.

Autumn goes to the vet every 6-mos for health maintenance, now weighs at 13# and sleeps about 20-hrs every day.......
