Default and so it begins...

The fall foliage season is upon us a little early this year and here is the first touch of color in my yard, like a growing flame it will ignite all the green and turn it into bright yellows, oranges and deep reds with any luck.

Thanks James, yes the maples are nice the high sugar content adds to the color or at least that's what I hear. I have a mixture of oak, beech, silver/white birch, maple and probably some others I am not thinking of and of course the ever greens like the white pine giants and hemlocks, makes for a diverse pallet of colors.

here is the JPEG SOOC ... I think I went too overboard with PP on the one above but I'll let you be the judge. I tried to isolate the leaves in PP and make the background darker which I think I achieved but I did so at some cost.

Maybe a little on the first photo. The one leaf looks like a Poinsetta leaf. :-)

lol - yeah James it does!

Here's a new fall shot from this morning on the way to work. Low lying areas like this tend to color up first. Taken with the 14mm f2.5, CPL filter and monopod for stability.
