From this post....

it appears there's going to be a sale on selected bodies and lenses for the balance of March.

There is a rebate going on with the OMD-M5 as well...
"Buy an E-M5, get $150 back on lenses. Claim up to 3 lenses for $450 in savings! Ends 3/30/13."

For what I do I am pretty happy with my E-PL2 and if I were to upgrade I believe I would get the PL5 as I already have the VF2 and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg . I don't think I would see any difference in IQ between the 5 and the OM-D.

I think you are correct. The finder stabilization of the E-M5 makes composing with really long focal lengths easier since the finder is not jumping around due to the extreme magnifications. Otherwise, i think the PL5 has a couple of other goodies not in the E-M5, like being able to make the AF box permanently smaller than normal. I would like that.

That is great, Fred, both for you and your daughter. We will look forward to your shots with the new EPL-5. From everything I have seen it has excellent image quality.

$550 plus tax is a pretty good deal. Too bad I am not looking for a new body

However, I am still thinking about a new lens ... the new 75-300? the 75mm? or the 60mm Macro? ... all of them will fit with my kit. Well not really, the missing link in my kit is the 60mm macro. I can still use the 70-300 for my 4/3 ....
