Default My Friday 'car-fix' and the Black Widow.........

.....was my pick for car of the night

This 1938 Chevrolet Master Deluxe is just outstanding, the paint is flawless, the interior is amazing and the E-P3/FT 9-18 made shooting this one fun.

The owner of the '38 has 2-other cars, one a 1935 Chevrolet 2-door sedan which is as nice as the '38. I've not seen his third car, but soon he told me he would bring it too.

That Master Deluxe is class through and through. Wow, it's really nice.

Is that the gas tank cap on the rear fender?

Yes, the filler cap.

It is super duper for sure, the Black Widow is a car I would just love to own and drive.

I like all the pics very much Bob, you seem to have a way with color and how your car pics always look so much like Kodachrome. I especially like the pic with the Thompson MG and the bags of money...haha, please return bag to Chemical Bank.

....thanks a bunch; I am glad y'all like the cars and your comments mean a lot to me.

While the E-P3 and the FT 9-18 make great close-qtrs composition (these cars are displayed on a grocery supermarket parking lot) it is the VF-2 that makes all this possible for me. When I upgrade cameras, EM-5 or other the VF-2 will always have a place for my style of shooting.......... love it!

I must do quite a bit of cropping due to the surrounding image distractions to the shots but the VF-2 helps greatly in reducing those distractions and AfterShot Pro does the rest where I can eliminate the odd stuff and adjust the image data.

Last night I spoke with a friend who has a DeLorean which he has rebuilt and drives daily..... Jake said he would bring the car, hopefully next Friday, it should draw a crowd. I hope I can get the shots of it that I want.

More of the Black Widow and last weeks show are here => http://tinyurl.com/b4n2qwd

Thanks again, I'll pick another winner next week............
