Default ....metaphorically a 'stop & go' of red & green

Gosh I am busy, Bonnie has decided that the master bath here at the place needs to be reDONE from the floor to the shower and all betwixed.

So, it will be to my good in September when the new OM-D EM-6 is ready for me to see that the master suite is remodeled to Bonnie's liking. .... I'm telling myself. Anyway it takes a bunch-o'time time to make all the decisions, I know because we did a complete kitchen rebuild last summer.

All this is getting into my weekly schedule for getting out with the camera, it seems Friday night Nostalgia is my best bet to do shutter releases.

Last Friday night it seemed we had Red and Green as a theme down there with a couple 'oldies but goodies'.

..........first the '67 Ford Econoline, I remember these really cool pickups and wanted one back in my motocross racing days in SoCal..

........then there was the 502 Chevy

AND a Saleen Mustang .... a beast!

.......the green of it was this 1952 BRG MG

I think I saw one of the guys from the show American Pickers in VW truck similar to that Ford in the first images, and the VW looked just as weird.

tnx Sammy and yeah Greg, that is Richard & Sylvia's (I can call them that because we really are first-name acquaintenances, we see each other quite a lot) new ride; just a couple weeks now. That is their son in the backgrond with his '55 Buick.

Kinda a fun thing to do, hang around the cars, shoot a few pichurs and talk some.

Hey, I met Steve B'win there last Friday..... he asked about the 40-150, I left it to him to get it back to you.

The 1930 Franklin showed again and I shot the interior that I did not get last month; guess what, it is RED.

The usual great car shots we come to expect from you Bob. Very nice but boy that Econoline is sure an ugly duckling isn't it.

Steven & James, thanks for stopping by & your comments, always fun to share my cars.

Now James, the cab over pickups were so great. When driving one you became a part of it, fun to do.

When I was racing motocross in the late 60s we ran at Carlsbad raceway in Carlsbad, CA between Oceanside & San Diego. Carlsbad at the time was better known as a dragstrip for cars than for the MX course which would later become an international course and world championship points racing....... we would see a Ford Econoline PU running the 1/4 doing a wheelstand & the body was reverse mounted to the chasis.

There've been quite a few of them since but back then it was an oddity.

Another great series and i really enjoyed the theme, a whole lotta red, but the MG really floats my boat. And that interior on the 1930 Franklin is luxury defined. Well shot and composed!

Thanks RA, the MG is really a nice car. The owner is a former mayor of Arlington. Last week they showed the car in Houston at the Concours d'Elegance of Texas. I surely would have liked photographing that event, maybe I'll get invited next year, though I will need Richard to work on that for me.
