Default Canadian Rockies - Spirit Island

Hi All,

I took a couple of days of vacations with my wife, my daughter and her friend. It was not a "photography" vacation but ... you know

Anyway, we did the Maligne Lake cruise for the first time and I was able to take some shots of Spirit Island (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spirit_Island for more information).

I took 5 of the best ones and posted them with different post-processing steps:

What do you think?

Gilles

The last one has a nice over-the-top pop art-look to it. #4 never fully loaded on my screen.

Too pretty a place to not be photographed.

Well, I do have a favorite, the next to last is awesome and I would frame & hang it, I love the composition, light and finish PP.

The others are nice too with interesting angles of the fisheye but I don't find them as interesting/pleasing as my (favorite)selection is to me.

Really nice shots there; well done. I also pick number 4 as my favorite, and agree with Bob that it would make a great print to hang on a wall.

That one is a very good example of how "normal" the Rokinon fisheye can look if held level. Fisheye Hemi could have straightened especially the trees on the side and made it even more convincing.

I like the IR like effect of the first one but agree that #3 has the best composition
