Default Walks in the River Valley

After close to 17 years living in Edmonton, I just went twice to the Whitemud Park ... and it was about time I discovered that place

A couple of shots from last week and this week (mainly with the EM-1):

And for some of them .. I forget to change the ISO ... so I got stuck at 8000 ...

Enjoy!

I'm looking at them on a nexus 7 and the black and whites are stunning. The second one knocked my socks off.

Thanks Bob and "chiPersei".

The first two were taken using the EM-1 and the 12-60 4/3 lens. The colour ones were with the 60mm Macro ... but I forgot to bring down the ISO (those are at 8000) ...

Nice shots Folob and it makes me cold. Those birds are pretty darn tame aren't they. That or they are super hungry.

Those are super nice shots.

(And that is so unusual to see birds eating out of your hand!)

When I was younger I had women eating out of my hand. :-) Now one is eating my wallet.

If fact, we got our first snow late this year ... about Oct 31 if I remember properly ... which is late for us.

The first week-end I went there it was cold, just about 2 to 4c. Last week-end it was about -4c in the morning.

Today : -22c, tomorrow ... -40c with the wind factor

Fun hey?

Bad enough here in Michigan without being where you are. When I was younger I loved to ski and now I don't want anything to do with winter.
