Thanks Bob. I wouldn't be using this lens with an extender for close ups but mainly for bird shots. It looks like I will probably have one of these before the 50-200. Is a little more affordable.

Actually I do very little with the 70-300 and EX-25, the lens by itself produces some really good images, fun to use and now with the E-M1 & the X2 digi-converter will be even more fun this summer.

I am looking forward to doing more of these with the X2 turned on........ This lens does not work with an EC-20 but the X2 digi is pretty nice.

These images are just the plain lens, no magnification for these and from my E-P3 camera, last summer.
